A new reality show, based on the Korean drama series that conquered the world of “Squid Games” last year, is expected to be released in the near future on Netflix’s streaming service.
The show, Squid Game: The Challenge, is currently in the process of casting the participants who will take part in “Netflix’s greatest social experiment ever.”
It will have the largest cast in the history of reality, with 456 real actors competing in a series of games inspired by the show to find a single survivor who will win a $ 4.56 million “Mishnah Chaim” award (the amount received by Korean drama series in dollars)
Reality participants can submit a bid from any part of the world, provided they speak English. “The stakes are high, but in this game the worst thing that can happen to you is that you go home empty-handed,” Netflix said.
This is in contrast to the original series – which has become Netflix’s most popular show of all time – in which every participant disqualified during childhood games is executed for the amusement of the rich game creators.
“Who will be an ally, who will you trust and who will you betray in this ultimate character test?”, Netflix said on Tuesday about the reality casting shortly after the official announcement that the original series will return for a second season.
