PDIP Commemorates National Nature Conservation Day

The event, held at the PDIP Party School, was attended by the party’s Central Executive Board, including Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto, Deputy Treasurer Yuke Yurike, and other high-ranking officials. The gathering also included students, young people, and PDIP cadres both online and offline.
PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri joined the event online. In her remarks, she emphasized the importance of caring for the environment, stating that it is central to her political ideology.
“Politics is about caring for life,” Hasto Kristiyanto said in his speech. “Megawati has always been a figure who pays great attention to the environment.”
He recounted a personal story where Megawati reprimanded him for discarding salak seeds, reminding him that all parts of life are valuable and can be reused. He also mentioned Megawati’s innovative practices, such as using bottled water for infusions and recycling tea and coffee grounds.
PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto admitted that Megawati Soekarnoputri had once reprimanded him for discarding snake fruit seeds.
