Memorial Public Frameworkers have demanded that as Tamils, unite in the public agenda and unite in the Mullivaikkal memorial.
“The 13th anniversary of the Mullivaikkal genocide that has not been brought to justice to date will be commemorated tomorrow (May 18) at 10.30 am on Wednesday at the Mullivaikkal Memorial Yard in Mullivaikkal.
We kindly request all to renounce differences, transcend self-interest and self-promotion and unite in our public agenda as Memorial Tamils. ”
They further stated that
” At 6 pm on that day, ring the bell in all the temples and exchange the Mullivaikkal porridge as much as possible to commemorate the destruction of Tamils.
“On the same days in 2009, the Sri Lankan government brutally carried out a genocide to wipe out Eelam.
The world powers simply watched and implicitly supported the massacre of Tamils who fought for ethnic liberation by state terrorism and the massacre of Tamils with weapons and tactics that the world could not use against humanity.
The UN has been blamed for the massacre of innocent civilians and wounded asylum seekers in hospitals and shelling by racist forces in areas publicly declared by the government as security zones. The Council and other international charities have emptied their presence on this soil.
This democratic world simply watched as the government brutally annihilated the Tamils by not providing adequate food and medicine to the wounded, ”said Mullivaikkal Public Works in a statement to commemorate.
