She has received a shower of insults since the broadcast last week of this video in which she mocks the supposed death of an Israeli baby killed by Hamas on October 7. Warda A. was placed in police custody this Thursday morning, as part of an investigation into advocating terrorism opened by the Paris prosecutor’s office. At the same time, the young suspect will file a complaint against X for death threats, fraudulent access to an automated data system, and harassment.

In his video first broadcast on Instagram, then spread on social networks and reported to the Paris prosecutor’s office by Gérald Darmanin, the Minister of the Interior, Warda A. jokes about the story of a baby who was allegedly killed in an oven during the October 7 attacks in Israel: “I wonder if they added salt and pepper (…) What was the accompaniment (…) What did they brown it with? »

Viewed thousands of times, the sequence was the subject of at least 69 reports to Pharos, the police body which records online offenses. But outraged Internet users not only denounced this Parisian, who is presented as an influencer model, they attacked her directly.

“A flood of death threats”

“As soon as this video was broadcast on social networks, my client suffered a flood of death threats and her address was communicated. His phone was hacked and intimate photos and videos were dumped in the pit of the digital court,” describes his lawyer Me Ilyacine Maallaoui.

Internet users would have in fact managed to take over the young woman’s iCloud account and would have distributed naked photos of her on social networks. Warda A. is also the subject of barely veiled threats on a WhatsApp group, “infiltrated” by Ismael Boudjekada, a municipal elected official from Grand-Charmont in Doubs. In this discussion formed by 540 members, called “Tsahal will conquer” and which has since been closed, according to the elected official and screenshots that he distributed, a photo of the young woman in scantily clad appears with the idea mentioned of an “envelope of 5,000 euros” to “bring it back to a cellar”.

At the same time, it is Warda A.’s defender who is targeted. “Paroxysm of this alternative and private justice, Israeli activists decided to designate me as a target of the day on the Telegram network for having acted within the framework of my profession as a lawyer,” denounces Me Ilyacine Maallaoui.

“A modus operandi to harm me”

“On a Telegram channel a modus operandi was presented to harm me, with advice and a very precise procedure to follow,” adds the counsel, who was in defense of one of the accused of the attacks of November 13, 2015, and affirms not having “had to manage such external pressure”. According to him, “this highlights a deleterious climate in which structured groups target those who do not obey their totalitarianism”.

Me Ilyacine Maallaoui also hopes “that the Minister of the Interior and the Minister of Justice will not be impervious to these serious facts and that article 40 of the code of criminal procedure will naturally be put into action”. The lawyer plans to file another criminal complaint on his behalf and notify his order.
