The PKB politician emphasized that regional head candidates who have a lot of agricultural land in their regions can maximize programs that improve the welfare of farmers so that food self-sufficiency can be strengthened in the regions.
“Those who are the basis of agriculture need to carry out this program,” stressed Daniel Johan when contacted, Tuesday (10/9).
Daniel said that a social security program for farmers is important to implement. According to him, it can help the lives of farmers who are now increasingly difficult.
“Yes, it is important and really helps the lives of farmers,” said Daniel.
According to Daniel, the insurance will be paid directly by the local government later. If, the farmers’ agricultural land fails to harvest.
Previously, Central Sulawesi gubernatorial candidate Ahmad Ali said he was ready to improve the welfare of farmers through the Farmer Insurance program if elected in the next period.
“I want Central Sulawesi farmers to no longer be haunted by pest problems, crop failures and so on. Because the state has been present to provide insurance for every inch of community agricultural land,” said Ahmad Ali when meeting with hundreds of farmers in Parigi Mountong Regency.
Ahmad Ali emphasized that to support agricultural insurance, he and AKA will ensure the availability of fertilizer for farmers.
