The Social Security Commission of the Chamber of Deputies approved this Thursday the same opinion that had already voted positively on April 15, by which the Pension Fund for Wellbeing will be created.

Representatives of National Action demanded an investigation, and clarification of how and who changed the opinion that reached the Board of Directors on Wednesday and that, because it was different from the one approved, the discussion had to be postponed.

However, after the meeting, the deputy president of the Commission, Ivonne Cisneros (Morena) rejected the possibility of initiating an investigation within this body.

He emphasized that this will have to be done by the bodies established by the Organic Law of Congress and ruled out that approving the same opinion twice is an irregularity.

In this regard, deputy Santiago Torreblanca (PAN) explained that it made no sense to vote on what had already been voted on and insisted on knowing why there are so many different versions of the same opinion.

In what he called “the war of versions,” he commented that at first he considered that the mistake was in sending the opinion to be published in Gaceta.

“But, I am still making a comparative table between the initiative, the approved opinion and the opinion uploaded to Gaceta and they have nothing, absolutely nothing to do with it.”
