Two players from Indian squad for Commonwealth Games banned Sprinter S Dhanalakshmi and triple jump star Aishwarya Babu were banned from the Games due to the presence of banned doping in their blood. The presence of banned steroid was found in the blood of 24-year-old Dhanalakshmi. They were to compete in 4*100m relay and 100m race along with Dyuti Chand, Hima Das and Shrabani Nanda. Dhanalakshmi’s test was conducted by the Athletics Integrity Unit. Aishwarya was tested by the National Anti-Doping Agency. Aishwarya was to compete in triple jump and long jump.

The Commonwealth Games is a golden opportunity to dominate the world. The Prime Minister said that he will focus only on training and performance and not worry about anything else.
