Commonwealth Games – India collects 5 medals in one day

The 22nd Commonwealth Games in which 72 countries have participated is being held in Birmingham, England. India won 1 silver and 4 bronze yesterday.

India’s Dulika Mann won the silver medal in the women’s 78kg category in judo.

In the men’s weightlifting (109kg) final, India’s Lovepreet Singh won the bronze medal by finishing 3rd with a total lift of 355kg.

India’s Saurav Ghosal won the bronze medal in men’s singles squash event.

India’s Gurdeep Singh participated in the men’s (109+ kg) weightlifting final. He lifted a weight of 390 kg and won the bronze medal in this competition.

In the men’s high jump final, India’s Tejaswin Shankar cleared a height of 2.22 meters to grab the bronze medal. Yesterday, he won 1 silver and 4 bronze. India remains at the 7th position with 18 medals in the Commonwealth Games medal list.
