The Central Operations Room for the Arbaeen Pilgrimage at the Communications and Media Commission announced today, Sunday, that about half a billion calls were made during the Arbaeen Pilgrimage.
A statement by the Commission received by the (INA) stated that “the central operations room for the Arbaeen visit at the Communications and Media Commission revealed the communication indicators for the Arbaeen visit starting from the first of Safar, in the four holy cities (Najaf, Karbala, Kadhimiya, and Samarra). The indicators came as follows:
▪️Total number of calls: 475,561,955 million calls, of which 269,179,348 million were in Karbala.
▪️Number of local calls: reached 461,030,781 million calls, of which 262,104,810 million were in Karbala.
▪️Number of international calls: 14,531,174 million calls, of which 7,074,583 million were in Karbala.
▪️Total number of messages: 185,642,568 million messages, of which 86,123,436 million were in Karbala.
▪️Number of local messages: reached 138,067,294 million messages, including 61,744,310 million in Karbala.
▪️Number of international messages: 47,575,274 million messages, including 24,379,126 million in Karbala.
▪️Data transfer volume: 23,122 thousand terabytes, including 13,784 thousand terabytes in Karbala.
▪️Number of mobile teams: 550 teams, including 76 teams in Karbala.
▪️Number of mobile network service quality checks and spectrum tracking tests: 11,624 thousand tests were conducted, including 5,231 thousand tests in Karbala.
▪️The number of cells that operated on new frequencies with an exceptional license: reached 1,287 cells.
▪️Mobile broadcast stations (Cows) were operated: their number reached 112 stations.
▪️Fixed towers that were added: Their number reached 219 towers, bringing the total number of fixed towers that covered the visit to 4,390 towers.
▪️Operating 27,652 permanent cells for mobile phone networks.
▪️Development and expansion of 1,803 towers.
▪️Providing 2,538 towers with modern broadcasting technologies.
