The Lempa River Hydroelectric Executive Commission (CEL), together with the Cuscatlán Electric Distributor (DEC), are touring the country to identify areas that still do not have electricity service.

These actions are part of the Universal Electricity Access Program (PAUE), which has as its primary and main objective to settle a historical debt with the most vulnerable sectors, forgotten by previous administrations.

Human resources from the institutions of President Nayib Bukele’s Government visited several villages in the department of Santa Ana Centro.

With the implementation of this program, residents of the following hamlets will benefit: Los Guerra, Ojo de Agua, Adanta and Tres Caminos, in the municipality of Santa Ana Centro; the benefit will also extend to the hamlets of Los Catota, Guadalupe, Morenos, La Colonia, Los Martínez and Los Ramirez.

This is a joint effort led by the Executive, in synergy with municipal authorities of Santa Ana Centro, who learned about the scope and benefits of this program, which will be financed by the IDB.

The Universal Access to Electricity Program will enable 100% of Salvadoran homes to be electrified.
