by time news

A mass and a procession in tribute to the missing fishermen, such is the tradition of Assumption Day in La Possession. On this Thursday, August 15, a more particular tribute was paid to Marceau Grimaud, a professional fisherman who had been responsible for this event for nearly 30 years, who passed away last April.

Every August 15, the fishing community honors its deceased on Assumption Day, the day of the Virgin Mary’s ascent to Heaven, in La Possession. For this occasion, the boats and the port are adorned in blue and white, the colors of the Virgin.
