Over one year, companies’ labor requirements are up by 17%.
After the madness, the return to calm. The number of job offers published in France in the second quarter of 2023 fell by 5% compared to the first three months of the year according to a study by the human resources group Adecco. A decline that does not prevent the gauge from remaining exceptionally high. Indeed, for the sixth consecutive quarter, the number of unique offers – once duplicates have been neutralized – exceeds three million, well beyond the volumes to which the country was accustomed. Over one year, the labor needs of companies are up by 17%, and if we compare to pre-Covid in 2019, they are even higher by 59%. The retreat of spring is therefore interpreted as “a return to calm in a market that was bordering on madness”according to analysts at Adecco Group.
