He College of Registrars It affirms that company incorporations increased by 12.9% in May compared to the same month of the previous year, up to 10,458 companies created, which represents five consecutive months of increases.
By province, Andalusia, Catalonia and Madrid jointly constituted six out of every ten companies created, although incorporations in May increased in all the autonomous communities except in Navarra (-8%), Galicia (-6.9%) and La Rioja ( -5.4%).
Regarding the capital increasesincreased by 12.7% in May over the same period of the previous year, with positive monthly data and increases from January to March, although a slight fall of 0.6% in April.
By autonomous communities, Madrid stands out for its greater volume, with 747 extensions in May, 20.1% more than in the same month of 2022, and Catalonia with 556, 0.5% less. Globally, they have increased more in Cantabria, Castilla la Mancha and the Balearic Islands. Instead, they fell more in Aragon and La Rioja.
Bankruptcy proceedings experienced a drop of 22.5% in May over the same month of the previous year, with a strong influence from Madrid, Catalonia and the Valencian Community, which jointly accounted for six out of ten bankruptcies filed.
From the College of Registrars they have indicated that the end of the bankruptcy moratorium marked the real trend during the second semester of 2022, which meant significant increases. This January, there were still significant increases, of 12.6% due to the previous effect.
