The Swiss Federal Criminal Court has dismissed a complaint by the German lawyer Hanno Berger against his extradition to Germany. Berger is wanted in Hesse and North Rhine-Westphalia in connection with illegal cum-ex transactions at the expense of German taxpayers.
The court in Bellinzona in the canton of Ticino made the decision public on December 20 on Wednesday. Berger has been in extradition custody since the summer. He and his lawyers can still appeal to the federal court as a last resort. Berger has rejected the allegations against him.
