While the film ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, which is still doing wonders in theaters, is getting immense love from the audience, it is also hurting some people in many ways. Recently, the film has received a formal complaint from former Congress leader Acharya Pramod Krishna, stating that the film hurts the religious sentiments of Hindus. The complaint suggested that the makers, cast and crew should publicly apologize for the gross distortion and misrepresentation of Lord Kalki in the film. In the legal notice sent by Pramod Krishna, the complainant suggested that the interpretation of the Mahabharata in the film has hurt the sentiments of the Hindu community and the notice also stated that the makers should refrain from distributing and publishing the film on any digital platform for the time being.

Complaint against the makers of ‘Kalki 2898 AD’

Speaking to IANS, Acharya Krishna Prasad said that his complaint is not to harass the makers of the film but to ensure that religious sentiments are not undermined or hurt by this artistic creativity. He said that the filmmakers have made fun of Sanatan Dharma and this is not right.

‘Kalki 2898 AD’ has grossed over Rs 1000 crore at the box office and has completed 25 days in theatres. Directed by Nag Ashwin, the film’s cast includes Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, Brahmanandam, Disha Patani, SS Rajamouli, Ram Gopal Varma, Dulquer Salmaan, Mrunal Thakur and Vijay Deverakonda.
