As part of the actions of the Strategic Plan for the Comprehensive Approach to Dengue 2024-2025 that the national Government has been promoting, authorities from the Ministry of Health of the Nation called a new meeting with national companies that manufacture and import repellents.
During the meeting, the Secretary of Administrative Management, Cecilia Loccisano, and the Chief of Staff, Roberto Olivieri, accompanied by the Undersecretary of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, Esteban Marzorati, and the National Administrator of ANMAT, Agustina Bisio, They presented the epidemiological situation of dengue in the region of the Americas and in the country, and shared the epidemiological forecasts of the strategic plan.
“From the public sector we want to renew the commitment to accompany them so that no procedure or administrative issue for the development of the activity generates delays in the provision or marketing of the products,” said Loccisano.
In this sense, representatives of the sector highlighted both the simplification of administrative processes and the strong increase in local productive capacity compared to the previous year, which in estimated numbers could reach a production of 60 million units in December. Thus, they assured that the supply of repellents in the market will be guaranteed and agreed on the importance of joint and effective communication to bring peace of mind to the population.
On behalf of the health portfolio, the coordinator of the dengue approach table, Juan Pablo Saulle presented the main progress indicators and results of the strategic plan. In addition to the meeting, ANMAT included the national deputy administrator, Enriqueta Pearson, and the director of Evaluation and Monitoring Management of Health Products, Emilce Vicentín.
On behalf of the sector, authorities from the Argentine Chamber of the Personal Hygiene, Cosmetics and Perfumery Products Industry (CAPA), the Argentine Aerosol Chamber (CADEA), the Argentine Union of Aerosolists (UADA) and the Argentine Association participated in person. of Cosmetic Chemists (AAQC).
