In the Kurgan region, mandatory vaccination against COVID-19 was introduced for 19 categories of citizens, the corresponding decree was signed by the chief sanitary doctor for the Kurgan region Grigory Khokhlov. The document was published on the website of the regional department of Rospotrebnadzor.

According to Khokhlov, the measure is due to the fact that the situation with the incidence in the region can be regarded as unfavorable.

Those who work in the field of education (including additional), health care, social protection, employees of the MFC, theaters, cinemas and other leisure institutions were obliged to get vaccinated in the region.

Compulsory vaccination is also provided for trade workers, service industries (hairdressing salons, beauty salons, spa salons, tanning salons, baths, saunas, massage parlors, etc.), health and fitness centers, fitness clubs and swimming pools, health resort organizations and hotels.

Employees of industrial enterprises, cafes and restaurants, taxi drivers and employees of client departments of financial, insurance and other organizations were also obliged to be vaccinated.
