The Mexico City and State of Mexico will be the scene of severe weather due to strong rains throughout this day due to the activity of the tropical waves 12 and 13as announced by the National Water Commission (WITH WATER) as part of the provisions of the Weather forecast for today July 23, 2024.
Today is forecast Heavy rainfall (75 to 150 millimetres) State of Mexico and very heavy rains (50 to 75 mm) in Mexico City; the activation of alerts is not ruled out (yellow alert, orange alert or red alert) for severe weather this afternoon and evening.
It is not ruled out that the rains may be accompanied by electrical discharges, strong gusts of wind and hail. The Secretariat for Comprehensive Risk Management and Civil Protection (SGIRPC) warns of Heavy rains today between 2:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. in CDMX.
Mexico City and Edomex will also be notable for gusts of 40 to 60 km/h. In contrast, it is expected Minimum temperatures at dawn from 0 to 5 degrees in high areas of the State of MexicoHidalgo, Puebla and Tlaxcala.
For the Valley of Mexico it is forecast cool morning atmosphere, cold in mountainous areas of the State of Mexico and fog banks. In the afternoon, cool to temperate weather is expected, with cloudy skies during the day, as well as electrical discharges, possible hail and gusts of wind from 40 to 60 km/h in storm areas.
In Mexico City, minimum temperatures are expected to be between 12 and 14 degrees Celsius and maximum temperatures between 21 and 23 degrees, and in Toluca, State of Mexico, minimum temperatures are expected to be between 8 and 10 degrees and maximum temperatures are expected to be between 17 and 19 degrees.
