Everyone is looking forward to the official announcement of the new installment of Mortal Kombat, after a whole wave of rumors and leaks broke out after the teaser presented by NetherRealm Studios, hinting that we would be facing a new restart.
What is generating the most expectation is the list of guest characters, something very characteristic of the franchise, having between the rumored names Peacemaker from DC Comics and Homelander from The Boys. However, these two would not be the only ones, since again Jez Corden, a journalist for Windows Central, drops the ‘bomb’ that another iconic character would be on the way.
We talk about Conan the barbarianiconic character played by Arnold Schwarzenegger in 1982. The info was released by Corden on his podcast.Xbox Two‘ when he was talking about ‘Mortal Kombat 1’, which is what the new installment in the saga would supposedly be called.
Arnold Schwarzenegger back in Mortal Kombat?
The supposed arrival of Conan the Barbarian would set an interesting precedent among the guest fighters in the saga, since it would be the second Schwarzenegger character to appear in a Mortal Kombat installment.
For MK11 we have the ‘Terminator‘. Although there was a detail that the fans did not like, and that is that unfortunately Schwarzenegger could not provide his voice, so the actor had to choose another person to be in charge of doing the character, with mixed results.
Hopefully this time, if Conan’s arrival is confirmed, we can hear Arnold.
