Concerns end; The horns were ready to return
Kovid’s spread at the Blasters camp during his ten-match unbeaten run in the Indian Super League and had to give up several games. Kovid thought the team’s progress would be hampered, but the Horns and coach Vukomanovic are preparing for a comeback.
Fans are thrilled to hear that the Blazers players are training on the field after a long break of days. Seven Blasters players were on the field for practice yesterday.
Although they did a small amount of training, the excitement it created for the fans was not small. Fans expect more players to come on the field in the coming days and the team to be fully equipped before the next match.
The entire team was in quarantine following the spread of Kovid in the Kerala Blasters’ bio-secure bubble. Neither Blatter nor Vukomanovich could master the tricks of watching video footage of training or using the gym.
Kovid reported at the Blasters camp after the match against Odisha FC on January 12.
Both the Blasters’ matches were postponed as Kovid expanded after the 2-0 win over Odisha. The matches against Mumbai City FC and ATK Mohun Bagan have been postponed.
The next match of the Horns will be against Bengaluru FC on January 30. By then, everyone on the team is expected to regain fitness and be fully fit on the field.
The first match against Bengaluru ended in a 1-1 draw. If the Blasters are ready to beat Bengaluru to retain the number one spot, the Blues are aiming for a glorious comeback.
The Blasters, who have won 10 games in a row, are currently top of the table with 20 points from 11 games. Bangalore are eighth with 13 points from 11 matches.
