Concession to India in Russian affair: Imran blames US

by time news

Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan has accused the United States of discriminating between India and their country in the Russia affair.

He was speaking at a security-related event in Islamabad on Friday:

As I recently visited Russia and met with the country’s President Vladimir Putin, a powerful country (the United States) is furious with Pakistan.

At the same time, Ukraine extends a hand of support to India, which imports crude oil from Russia even after the war.

Spontaneous foreign policy is essential for the development of any country. Countries that do not have such a foreign policy cannot protect the interests of the people.

But Pakistan’s foreign policy has long relied on powerful foreign powers. This is the reason why we cannot reach the heights we need to reach.

Countries must make independent decisions without mortgaging the interests of the people for foreign funding. In that sense, I do not like the powerful country that made independent foreign policy decisions. No foreign country has the right to interfere in the policy of an independent country. But it is not America’s fault for thinking of interfering in our affairs beyond that. He said previous governments had created the impression that such an intervention was possible.

A vote of no confidence in Imran is set to take place in parliament next Sunday. With the parties that have so far backed the government under his leadership withdrawing their support, the overthrow of the Imran government is almost certain in that referendum.

Imran Khan has accused the government of plotting to overthrow his regime due to a foreign conspiracy. He is referring to the United States.

The State Department on Thursday summoned the US interim ambassador to Pakistan and condemned the US intervention in their internal affairs.
