Concluding the final exams for the first semester and the first period for general certificates

Today, Thursday, the final exams for the first semester and the first period exams for the certificates of completion of the basic and secondary education stages for the academic year 2024-2025 AD were concluded throughout the Libyan territory, according to what was stated in the decision of the Minister of Education of the Government of National Unity No. 984 of the year 2420 AD regarding setting the dates. Academic studies and examinations for all educational levels for the academic year 2024-2025 AD.

The exams witnessed “follow-up by the Minister of Education, the Undersecretary for Monitoring Affairs, directors of departments in the Ministry, and monitors of education in municipalities through inspection tours of educational institutions during which they followed the exams and listened to the observations of teachers, students, and students regarding them.”

According to the Minister of Education’s Decision No. 984 of 2024 to determine the dates of study and examinations, “pupils and students will go on a holiday that begins on the fifth of this month and ends on the eleventh of the same month.”

The text of Article (29) of Council of Ministers Resolution No. 1013 of 2022 AD regarding “Issuing a regulation regulating education affairs for the basic and secondary education stages” states: “A percentage (50%) of the major final for each of the approved courses for the sixth, seventh, and eighth grades shall be allocated to each semester.” It is distributed as follows: 40% for class work and includes Applications, semester activities, and the mid-semester exam are distributed as follows: (25%) for daily activities, (25%) for applications, (50%) for the mid-semester exam, (60%) for the end-of-semester exam.”

While Article (41) of the same decision stipulates that “a percentage (50%) of the final major of the course shall be allocated for each semester in theoretical or practical subjects, distributed as follows: (40%) for semester work – (60%) for the end-of-semester exam.” .

The Ministry of Education expressed its wishes of good luck and success to our students and students, extending “thanks to the parents for their efforts, keenness, and perseverance in encouraging their children throughout the period of taking the exams, which lasted for two consecutive weeks.”
