Conclusion of the job seeker qualification course in the Libyan market held in Tunisia

The activities of the training course to qualify job seekers, which was held in Tunisia, concluded with the distribution of certificates to 100 job seekers in specializations required in the Libyan labor market.

The course, in which 100 job seekers participated, aims to enhance the Libyan labor market and meet the needs of economic institutions in the fields of diagnosing and maintaining car faults, regular and industrial welding techniques, and installing solar energy systems.

The session was attended by the Minister of Labor and Rehabilitation, Eng. Ali Al-Abed Al-Rida, on the Libyan side, and the Tunisian Minister of Employment and Vocational Training, Riadh Chaoud. It was attended by Bashir Abu Dhahir, Chargé d’Affairs at the Libyan Embassy in Tunisia, and Al-Sayeh Amhamed, the Labor Attaché, and a delegation from the embassy.

Al-Rida stressed the desire to benefit from the pioneering Tunisian experience in the fields of employment and vocational training, and noted the progress achieved by Tunisia in this field.

In turn, the Tunisian Minister of Employment stressed the importance of enhancing joint cooperation in the areas of vocational training, development of competencies and exchange of expertise.

A memorandum of understanding was signed to agree on forming joint technical committees, developing an executive plan to link job offers in Libyan institutions with job seekers, exchanging expertise and developing programmes and trainers in the fields of training and vocational rehabilitation.

The memorandum also aims to organize specialized training courses according to the needs of the two countries, twin training centers, exchange trainers, expertise and job seeker programs, in addition to integrating youth into the labor market, supporting the private sector, and enhancing employment office programs and services.
