When the bus reached Kottarakkara from Thiruvananthapuram, the conductor got down to urinate. Shortly afterwards, one of the passengers doubled the bell. With this the driver took the bus. The bus was reported missing when the conductor returned after the need.
He was arrested at the bus stand after receiving information from the Kottarakkara depot at the Adoor depot. The bus left for Moolamattom three and a half hours later after the conductor reached Adoor in another bus. All this time the passengers were patiently waiting on the bus.
