/ The Arabian Gulf Cup Federation confirmed, on Tuesday, that the Gulf Cup Football Championship “Gulf 26” will be held in Kuwait as scheduled.

The Federation said in a statement published on its account on the “X” platform: “The Executive Office of the Arabian Gulf Cup Federation, headed by Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, confirms that the upcoming Arabian Gulf Cup Championship will be held in Kuwait on the previously announced date.”

It is noteworthy that the “Gulf 25” was held in 2023 in Iraq, and the host country’s team, the Lions of Mesopotamia, won the title for the fourth time in its history.

The Kuwaiti national team holds the record for the number of times it has been crowned, with 10 titles, followed by the Iraqi national team (4 titles), then Saudi Arabia and Qatar each (3 titles), Oman and the Emirates each (2 titles), and finally Bahrain (one title).
