The building coming from the maxi confiscation of the video poker king Gioacchino Campolo site at number 2 of via Fata Morganain the historic center of Reggio Calabriawas delivered today to the Ministry of Culture, therefore to the regional secretariat for Calabria. To work of redevelopment and renovation completed, it will be the new headquarters of the Superintendency of Archaeology, Fine Arts and Landscape for the Metropolitan City of Reggio Calabria and the Province of Vibo Valentia.
The delivery took place this morning at the headquarters of Reggio of theState Property Agency. To sign the delivery report Concetta Irrera official in charge of the National Agency for Assets Seized and Confiscated from Organized Crime, Victor Vanniniregional director of the State Property Agency, Maria Mallemaceleader of the Regional Secretariat for Calabria of the Ministry of Culture.
The building, unused for a long time and severely degraded, will have to be completely renovated with ministerial funds, some of which have already been allocated. Given the strong structural deterioration, the first activities will concern safety and sanitization. Then the planning and implementation of the works.
The good has already passed to the unavailable assets of the State. Today the National Agency for Assets Seized and Confiscated from Organized Crime has therefore handed over to the State Property Agency the building characterized by an overall size of approximately 800 square meters. At the same time the State Property Agency delivered the same property for government use to Ministry of Culture, therefore to the Regional Secretariat for Calabria.
