The Greek foreign minister warns his allies that if they don’t take a hard line against Turkey, they risk the outbreak of another conflict like in Ukraine: “If we don’t act in time, just because we didn’t properly assess the seriousness of the matter, we will see another disaster similar to what is currently happening in another part of the continent”, wrote the Greek Foreign Minister, Nikos Dandias, in a letter to the member states of NATO and the European Union. This, against the background of the increasing tensions between the two countries and the threats made earlier this week by the President of Turkey, Recep Erdogan.

During a visit to Bosnia, Erdogan said: “They have bases on the islands opposite our shores. Let them know that our patience for their threats is limited.” If this sentence was not enough to heat up the spirits, Erdogan added: “We can surprise you one night.”
