Krishnarayapuram,- A clash broke out between the hotel staff and diners at the Krishnarayapuram bus stop area and both sides attacked each other after they raised questions about kerosene spilled on an omelette.

Venkatesan, 27, and Manikandan, 34, both from Manjamet, are working as cook masters and suppliers in a restaurant near Krishnarayapuram bus stop. At 10:15 pm on the 24th, Ilayaraja, 30, Gavin, 25, and Muthukumar from East Colony, Krishnarayapuram had dinner at the hotel. At that time, they raised a question saying that kerosene rancid in the omelette. In this dispute, Manikandan was attacked by Ilayaraja’s party with a stick. He was injured and admitted to Karur Government Hospital. According to the complaint, the Mayanur police registered a case against Ilayaraja and three others.

Similarly, the police have registered a case against 6 persons namely Venkatesan, Manikandan and Narasimhan on the basis of Ilayaraja’s complaint that he was attacked with a stick by calling him a caste name.
