A new wine bar – yes, another one – opened these days right in the Levinsky Market, and it has a much-loved parent throughout the lively market – the California Bar, which is located right next to it. His name in Israel is Cork, and why? Of course not the bottles of wine (cork = cork) that are sold there. It is actually a bar and a wine shop – a combination of a neighborhood bar and a corner dedicated entirely to the growing wine culture and is developing in our country.

The prices of the wines in Cork are affordable and not pretentious – a glass of wine will cost 40 NIS, bottles will cost you between 90 and 250 NIS, and there is also a 15% discount for bottles that you take home. also The variety is wonderful – the local staff carefully selected wines from France, Austria, Portugal and Spain, as well as a selection of natural wines. and from Every drink requires a snack, during the week days a cheese plate (47 NIS), sausages and other snacks are also served. Cork, as mentioned, was founded by the California Bar group (Alon Wallmark, Bar Sabah and Elad Boli Saliman), who were joined by Tal Danan, a graduate of the WSET School of Wine Studies who comes from the worlds of mixology. But the most interesting part is what happens on Fridays – local chefs are guests, and serve small meals based on pure fruits and vegetables of the season, raw fish and seafood. So far Dor Buskila, Rotem and Kenin, the beloved Assaf Day from Master Chef and more have been hosted in Cork. This coming Friday, for example, there will be an event in the scent of the New Year, when Stav Forges from Shawarma Boutique will host and weave flowers for the holiday. There will also be second-hand clothes and first-hand wine, straight from the bottle. In the future, the wine shop is expected to open at lunchtime as well and Cork will be refreshed with several cocktails.
