Berkovich attended the local Orthodox school in Lawrence and Parr Rockaway Yeshiva. After that he studied at Yeshiva Kol Torah in Jerusalem until 2009.
He completed his undergraduate studies at Queens College and is a graduate of Harvard Law School. One of the classes that Berkovic taught during his undergraduate studies, years before he participated in the campaign to elect Trump, was called “The Road to the White House.”
The connection to Trump and Kushner
In 2016, after graduating, he began working for the Trump campaign in the US presidential elections.
One of his duties was running the “Trump Tower Live” talk show.
The New York Times newspaper described the program in unflattering terms: “essentially political propaganda presented as news.” The first episode of the show won about 60,000 live viewers.
After Trump’s victory, Berkowitz worked in the White House as Jared Kushner’s assistant. In September 2018, the White House announced that Berkovic had been promoted, from Special Assistant to the President and Assistant to the Senior Advisor, to Deputy Assistant to the President and Senior Advisor. Following his retirement, Berkovic was appointed the representative for international negotiations.
