In Cuba, the community had houses and schools in seven cities. In 1961, however, the communist regime of Fidel Castro expelled the schools and forced the nuns to leave the island for the first time.

In 1998, the historic visit of Pope Saint John Paul II took place and due to the improvement of relations between the regime and the Vatican, the Apostolic Sisters were allowed back to the region of Matanzas, from where they expanded to the town of Los Arabos and La Havana. , in Vedado Sacred Heart parish.

However, the community has only two nuns in the country and that is not enough, so they have to leave Cuba again.
