Congress Holds Consultation on Defeat in Rajasthan and Mizoram Assembly Polls

New Delhi: The Congress party held a consultation to analyze the reasons for its defeat in the recent Rajasthan and Mizoram assembly polls. The meeting, which took place in Delhi under the leadership of party leader Mallikarjuna Kharge, saw the participation of senior leaders including Rahul Gandhi.

Former Chief Minister Ashok Khelat and State In-charge Sukhjind Singh Randhawa were among those who attended the meeting to discuss the failure of the party in Rajasthan. Speaking to the media after the meeting, Sukhjind Singh stated, “The Congress has a small margin of votes over the BJP in the Rajasthan polls. Congress’s vote share has increased over the previous polls.” He further added that Congress candidates lost by a small margin of votes and senior leaders have been ordered to start campaigning for next year’s Lok Sabha polls.

“We will fight together against BJP,” Sukhjind Singh affirmed. Meanwhile, Mizoram state in-charge Bhakt Saran Das also mentioned that the events that took place during the election and the party’s future plan were discussed in the meeting.
