Phillaur: Congress MP during Bharat Jodo Yatra led by Rahul Gandhi. He collapsed and died. MP from Jalandhar, Punjab. Sandok Singh Chaudhary died. While walking with Rahul Gandhi, he collapsed due to an increased heart rate. He was immediately admitted to the Virk Hospital in Phagwara, but the doctors declared that he had already died.
Rahul Gandhi stopped his journey and reached the hospital. Cause of death is heart attack. The trip was temporarily suspended.
Friday was a rest day for the Bharat Jodo Yatra, coinciding with the Lohri festival. The journey resumed from Ladhaul on Saturday morning. Sandok Singh Chaudhary’s son Vikramjit Singh’s son Vikramjit Singh had passed Phillaur when he felt unwell.
