Congress of the State of Mexico approves judicial reform

With 54 votes in favor, 20 votes against and one abstention, Congress of the State of Mexico approved the minutes of the reform to the Constitution on the subject of Judiciarysent by the Senate.

In the session the deputies of Morena, Green Ecologist Party of Mexico (PVEM) and the Labour Party (PT) spoke in favor of the constitutional reform; while congressmen from the Institutional Revolutionaryl (PRI), National Action (PAN), Citizen Movement (MC) and the Party of the Democratic Revolution (PRD) expressed themselves against the draft decree.

As part of the Permanent Constituent Assembly, the legislature of the State of Mexico joined the congresses of Oaxaca, Tabasco, Veracruz, Quintana Roo, Querétaro, Baja California Sur, Colima, Nayarit, Tamaulipas, Morelos, Puebla, Tlaxcala, Sinaloa, Baja California, Durango, Yucatán, Campeche, Guerrero, Zacatecas and Mexico City, which have already supported the reform.
