Five flights will connect Ioannina with the Scandinavian countries by air every week, starting from May 17.

By mid-October, Apollo will fly from Stockholm, Gothenburg, Copenhagen, Billund and Oslo, added to this year’s schedule.
According to the schedule, the flights Stockholm – Ioannina – Gothenburg – Ioannina – Stockholm (round trip) will take place every Friday from May 17 to September 27, Copenhagen – Ioannina – Copenhagen and Billund – Ioannina – Billund every Monday from May 20 to October 14 and Oslo – Ioannina – Oslo every Monday from May 20 to September 30. All flights will be operated with Airbus A320Neo aircraft.
“With the summer and high season just around the corner, it is possible that more connections will be announced, given that the International Airport of Ioannina is gaining recognition, due to its location, its facilities, the possibility of refueling and low taxes. The above reasons – and above all the possibility of refueling – are what make it particularly popular for private flights. Private jet arrivals have been increasing in recent months and are expected to increase during the summer season, as Ioannina Airport is increasingly chosen as a refueling and stopover point by private jets and helicopters traveling to and from European and Arab countries,” it says. regarding this, the former president of the Hoteliers Union, Stathis Sioutis.
He also notes that the morning flight of Aegean Athens – Ioannina – Athens will take place every day from Monday to Friday, with departure from Athens at 7.55 in the morning and departure from Ioannina airport at 9.40. On the same days, there will also be an evening flight, while on weekends the flights will take place at noon and in the evening.
