Celebration Schedule Across Rio de Janeiro Landmarks

The three-day itinerary mixed outdoor gatherings with traditional ceremonies across the Brazilian city. The festivities reportedly began with a welcome party in the hills of Alto da Boa Vista, held at Mansão do Alto.

The reception was held at Instituto Brando Barbosa in the Jardim Botânico neighborhood, a public attraction known for its plant collection and historic grounds.

Family Travel and Local Connections

Numerous members of the Kennedy family traveled to Brazil for the wedding. According to the New York Times, the exact guest list has been a secret, but it included Secretary Kennedy, who attended with his wife, the actress Cheryl Hines, as well as numerous A-list Brazilian artists, influencers and designers. Marinho told Vogue that the celebration was designed to honor both their marriage and the Brazilian city they love, stating they wanted to celebrate not just the wedding, but also Rio de Janeiro, the city they love.

She recalled that she told her then-fiancé, My love, I love you, but I’m not getting married in Massachusetts.

I needed to show them the best of Brazil, so I want to throw an incredible party. Imagine you’ve never seen Christ the Redeemer, and you’re going to see it for the first time at a wedding. It’s truly very special.
