jpnn.com – National Awakening Party (PKB) politician Neng Eem Marhamah Zulfa Hiz assessed that the dynamics that occurred between her party and the Nahdlatul Ulama Executive Board (PBNU) could actually have been avoided.
According to him, this could be avoided if the PBNU elites carried out their duties according to their function as a community organization.
According to Neng Eem, PBNU, which is now led by Gus Yahya Cholil Staquf, should focus on religious and national issues.
“There is a greater moral responsibility for PBNU to maintain the community. Not to plunge into the realm of practical politics,” said Neng Eem in her statement, Wednesday (14/8).
Neng Eem, who is also the Secretary of the PKB Faction in the MPR and the administrator of the PCNU Cianjur Regency, acknowledged that there is a cultural connection between NU and PKB. However, structurally the two are clearly separate.
“As a cultural and structural NU person, I understand that PKB stands alone as an organization. The legal basis of PKB refers to the Political Party Law Number 2 of 2011,” he said.
Structurally, he continued, there is also no formal connection between PBNU and PKB. Moreover, in the PBNU Articles of Association and Bylaws (AD/ART), there is not a single word about PKB.
“Likewise, in the PKB’s Articles of Association/Bylaws there are no articles that discuss the structure of PBNU,” stressed Neng Eem.
