LAHORE: Imran Khan has made a sensational allegation that there is a conspiracy to kill me by inciting religious fanatics and that Nawaz’s daughter is doing it. An audio conversation between Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and his cabinet officials regarding the country’s security has been leaked, creating a major political stir. Speaking at a rally in Rahim Yargan, former Prime Minister Imran Khan said, ‘Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif should resign after the release of audio related to the conversation between ministers and government officials.
Maryam Nawaz, daughter of former Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and a senior leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), plotted to kill me. He wants to incite religious fanatics and kill them by propagating communalism and religious hatred. Because of this my life is in danger from fanatics. But I am not afraid of death. My death is determined by God; It is not decided by anyone else.’
