The Minister of Public Works, Romeo Rodríguez Herrera, officially announced the start of construction of the new Parque de la Familia in San Miguel on Monday, September 16.
The new construction, located specifically in the Las Placitas canton, has as its main objective to benefit the inhabitants of the sector.
“This is the Family Park by the Chaparrastique volcano, in the Las Placitas sector. This is a public space that was totally abandoned,” said Romeo Rodríguez Herrera, who added: “We knew we had to make an intervention that would meet the current needs to guarantee healthy recreation for families thanks to the security that the country is experiencing.”
The head of Public Works also detailed that 9,580 square meters will be worked on in the Parque de la Familia in San Miguel, and said that “it is one of the largest interventions in public space that we have developed in our country by the MOPT.
It is worth mentioning that this project will also involve the planting of 50 additional trees. In addition to installing lighting, “the work on the Parque de la Familia in San Miguel will be carried out in record time,” said Romeo Rodríguez Herrera.
