The Construye bench has decided not to support the impeachment of Foreign Minister Gabriela Sommerfeld, but has announced its support for the dismissal and censure of Interior Minister Mónica Palencia.
In an official statement, the legislative group expressed its position of not supporting the impeachment process against Sommerfeld, pointing out that the minister cannot be dismissed due to the situation related to the detention in the Mexican embassy.
On the other hand, regarding the trial against Palencia, Construye expressed his intention to vote in favour of his dismissal, highlighting problems such as the increase in murders and problems related to the management of the Police Social Security Institute.
The party also mentioned its position on other oversight processes, including the proposed censure against former Energy Minister Andrea Arrobo, due to the lack of explanations regarding the energy crisis.
