The city of San Antonio is about 250 km from the Mexican border. It is said that the tragedy happened to the refugees who tried to escape from there. Yesterday (Monday) the temperature dropped to 39.4 degrees Celsius with high humidity which is said to have caused deaths.
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has blamed US President Joe Biden’s policies for the deaths. “They are the result of his deadly open border policies,” he wrote.
