Containers fell last night from a ship off the coast of Ashdod, due to the stormy weather and strong winds. Some of the containers drifted to the shores of Ashkelon, where it was recorded that many come to collect the loot which included disposable products, children’s games, pacifiers as well as ovens and refrigerators. Last night the ship entered the port of Ashdod.
Nine containers fell from a ship yesterday night due to the stormy weather off the coast of Ashdod. In the afternoon, reports arrived that some of the containers had drifted to the shores of Ashkelon, and they were even opened when they reached the shore.
The rumor spread quickly among the residents of the area and dozens of citizens came to collect loot that came from the sea, which included, among other things, disposable products, children’s games, pacifiers. In one of the documents on social networks, citizens were seen rescuing a new refrigerator from the waves of the sea.
The ship from which the containers fell docked yesterday evening in Ashdod port and it could be seen that additional containers were in a state close to falling from the ship.
This morning the municipality of Ashkelon decided to clean the beach where thousands of products were washed away yesterday. According to reports, citizens who collected items washed ashore have started selling them on social media.
