Continental has appointed Pedro Teixeira as its new general manager in Spain, a position that he will begin to exercise on October 1. With more than 20 years of experience in the company, Teixeira, who until now was the head of the company in Portugal, already knows the Spanish market first-hand after having directed the Best Drive franchise in the Spanish market.
Teixeira replaces in office Jon Ander Garciawho until now combined the role of general manager in Spain with his regional role as head of the META Region and Eastern Europe and OEM After Sales Channel Management.
Teixeira joined Continental in 2001 at the Portugal Sales company, as Head of Controlling and Credit Management. In 2004 he was appointed Head of Truck and CST, and later became the general manager of Contitrade Spain in 2012, a position he held until 2015. Since then, Teixeira has served as General Market Manager of Continental in Portugal.

Likewise, he will continue as general manager of the Portuguese market on an interim basis and will report directly to Tansu Isik, head of the South Region and Channel Management Fleet Solutions & OE Trailer Business in both functions.
