The board of directors of Continental Insurance Limited, a company listed in the insurance sector in the capital market, has published the unaudited financial report for the second quarter (April-June, 2024) and half-yearly (January-June, 2024) of the current financial year. According to published reports, the profit of the company has decreased in the current half-yearly quarter.

On Monday (July 29), the Dhaka and Chittagong Stock Exchange (DSE) informed this information.

According to the data, the company’s earnings per share (EPS) for the second quarter of the current financial year was Tk 0.45. The company’s profit per share was Rs 0.52 in the corresponding period of the previous financial year. Accordingly, the profit per share of the company decreased by 0.07 taka or 13 percent in the quarter under discussion.

Meanwhile, the company’s earnings per share (EPS) for the six months or half-yearly quarter of the current financial year stood at Tk 0.95. The profit per share of the company was Rs 1.08 in the same period of the previous financial year. Accordingly, the company’s EPS has decreased by Tk 0.13 or 12 percent in the quarter under discussion.

As on June 30, 2024, the company’s net asset value per share (NAVPS) stood at Tk 23.04.
