The People’s Market of Earthquakes was visited early in the morning by the mayor of Ioannina, Dimitris Papageorgiou, and candidates of the faction “Ioannina New Era”.
The mayor discussed with producers and consumers, stressing that the municipal authority will continue to support neighborhood street markets, as they have been embraced by the citizens, given that they significantly facilitate their purchases, while at the same time giving the opportunity, mainly to local producers, to make their products available.
“At a time when precision is galloping and hitting all households as well as producers in the primary sector, it is very important to be able to market their products directly to consumers. And this is done through the popular ones, which we need to strengthen”, underlined the mayor.
Meetings at the Police
Afterwards, the Mayor and candidates of the faction met with the General Police Director of Epirus, Vasilios Mouselimis, as well as with the Police Director of Ioannina, Georgios Azelis. They also met with the Traffic Commander Grigoris Karras and the Commander of the Police Department Ioannis Kokkini.
D. Papageorgiou thanked for the existing cooperation and emphasized the need for its continuation for the safety of the citizens.
-Tomorrow Tuesday, at 8.30 in the evening, the mayor will speak in Pedini.
