The Accelerator Mission for the development of UNDP innovations continued this Wednesday, November 15, 2023 in Tougué and its surroundings. Moussa Camara Accel Lab, Head of mission, Ms. Aicha Kaba, Lab assistant and the 4 young volunteers and agronomy engineers, accompanied by the Head of the Communication and Culture Unit, traveled through the fields and agricultural and market gardening areas of several localities including that of the Yourmo Ndiral Group of Hoore Sampin in the urban commune of Tougue, that of the Bandhal Diama Association of the Kirikin sector in the district of Pandje Fello, that of the Allah Wali Group, and that of the Néné guidho Group in the urban commune of Tougue 2.

These different groups which essentially engage in market gardening with the cultivation of tomatoes, onion cucumbers, eggplants, salads, cabbage, peppers and potatoes. Everywhere, the difficulties seem to be the same: namely the lack of water with the drying up of several rivers in most cases, attacks by caterpillars and insects. The needs and expectations remain as great and boil down to the acquisition of a motorcycle pump to facilitate the watering system, seeds, and small agricultural tools.

The Day ended with a visit to the dyer groups Fotti Folly and Mari Falla, from Tougué, and the premises of the Association of Seamstresses and Tailors of the Urban Commune of Tougué.
