At the first conference of the Judea and Samaria authorities cluster held today (Wednesday) in the presence of Interior Minister Ayelet Shaked and Minister of Construction and Housing Zeev Elkin and with the participation of Interior Ministry Director General Yair Hirsch Cluster authorities, representatives of government ministries, environmental associations of cities, academia, third sector organizations and more in order to learn, hear and assimilate the social and economic innovation among cluster authorities.

The conference was opened by the Minister of Construction and Housing, Zeev Elkin, who emphasized that “the Judea and Samaria cluster is a dream that has become a reality. I was one of the founders of the clusters as a platform for creating municipal collaborations, investing in long-term strategic ventures and self-proven economic projects. The process continues to gain momentum. I am glad that the cluster process has also reached Judea and Samaria and I believe that the cluster will be able to raise joint projects for the benefit of the public. It is no secret that I always prefer Judea and Samaria and so does the Ministry of Housing. We attach great importance to the area both ideologically and in terms of solutions to the housing crisis. “

Interior Ministry Director General Yair Hirsch added: “It is exciting to be here, at the first conference of the Judea and Samaria cluster which is unique both in terms of residents and size of the area and it is necessary to create unity and partnership to implement joint projects as in all other existing clusters across the country.
The cluster is essentially a tool for growth and development and I believe that practical and genuine cooperation will lead to the creation of projects and net economic ventures. And we will continue under the leadership of the Minister of the Interior with budget assistance and support through the cluster, which will enable development and growth. “
