Satnam Singh, a young man of Indian descent from the Queens area of New York, was sitting in a car parked in the South Ozone Park area near the house where he lives last Saturday. Satnam Singh was shot dead by a man who arrived there at around 3.46 pm and escaped. Police rushed to the spot and rescued Sadanam Singh, who was critically injured and admitted to a nearby hospital. However, he died within minutes of being admitted to the hospital.
The incident was recorded on a CCTV camera of a nearby house. New York police are investigating the scene and are working to identify the culprit. The incidence of shootings in the United States has become increasingly routine.
