After three consecutive victories that lifted them to the top of the table, in MS. Ashdod does not want to stop. Ran Ben Shimon’s team wants to continue the momentum tomorrow (Saturday, 19:00) in the league game against Kiryat Shmona and even show better ability from the last game against Maccabi Petah Tikva.
“It’s always exciting to play against Kiryat Shmona, this is a club I really like,” said the Ashdod coach, Ran Ben Shimon“This is a team that is in positive momentum and so are we. We have to be very careful in our approach to this game, the fact that we left where we were for a long time is a beautiful achievement, but continuing with that momentum will be a greater achievement.”
Ben Shimon spoke with his players at the meeting about the great importance of continuity and not to think that the last three victories have already put Ashdod in the top playoff. “The spaces between teams in the league are very small, if we take our foot off the gas we will also go down in the table,” said the club.
Zakaria Mogis and stopper Nenad Svetkovich will continue to be absent from Ashdod.
