The maintenance teams of the General Electricity Company and the engineers and technicians of the Algic Company continued working on the seawater inlet filter maintenance project for the Double Zawiya Electricity Station in preparation for the summer peak.
The company stated in a statement that the work is currently focused on carrying out comprehensive maintenance of the station’s seawater inlet filters, under the direct supervision of the company’s board of directors over these works because of their critical importance in ensuring the sustainability and efficiency of the work of electrical stations, by improving water quality and protecting equipment from accumulation. Sediments and deposits on filters that lead to equipment damage, increased pressure on pumps and premature wear.
On the other hand, work is continuing to complete the project to develop and modify the Al-Zaid 66 KV substation. In the Abu Hadi area in the city of Sirte, under the supervision and follow-up of the Gulf Distribution Projects Department.
This comes within the ongoing efforts undertaken by the company’s Board of Directors to solve all the problems and obstacles that some areas suffer from, most notably addressing bottlenecks and improving efforts in some areas.
The company’s maintenance teams are also continuing their efforts to maintain the stability of the electrical network in a number of areas.
In the Tajoura Industrial District Distribution Department, technical teams carried out emergency maintenance work on the 11 KV Hamidiya line from the sweeping 30 KV line, which included replacing poles and their accessories.
In the Al-Andalus District Distribution Department, the technical teams laid 240 size high-tension cables on the Petroleum Institute Line (1 and 2), in cooperation with the contracting company that carried out the drilling work and the Tripoli Operations Follow-up Department.
